This Month's First News Article is entitled Reclaiming America.  The Article takes a look where America is and compares it to where she's been and where she's going...

Reclaiming America

America's history is as unique as the people who make up this great land. She was founded upon the essence of religious liberty and human equality yet at the same time putting Jesus Christ at the forefront and using the Bible as the only guide line for law making. Sadly, much of what our forefathers fought to give us has been lost due to left wing extremist who now say that Jesus has no place in America today. Christians everywhere in this land of ours must take a stand and reclaim this land, before it is everlasting too late.

So how can we save this sinking ship? Simply by returning to the Word of God. The reason why America is in the sad shape she's in today isn't because of extreme liberals but due to the lack of action on behalf of "Christians". Over the past century we have become increasingly acclimated to the things previous generations would not been allowed. Today abortion is legal in every state of the union and Hawaii and Vermont allow "gay-partnerships"-equivalent to gay marriages. Furthermore, the city of Las Vegas now issues licenses to women to prostitute and on top of all that over 300 American counties have banned the Pledge of Allegiance because of the words "under God". Yet all the while church members everywhere still refer to her as a "Christian Nation" while in all actuality we are as far away from being like Christ as a nation can get. We can not sit idle while the very nation our grandfather's generation died to defend, continues on a downward spiral headed for destruction.

As Christians we should lead a charge to overthrow America and rid her of this evil menace. The trumpet is summonsing us to war, but this time not as a call to bear arms, but a call to bear the truth. Not a call to battle, but a call to take a stand on the issues of today. Will you join in this historic effort to restore America to the glory days and once again bring honor and glory to God?

In your hands my fellow Christian's, will rest the final outcome of our present course. Our nation has nothing to offer God but a broken heart and a humble spirit. I offer not a pledge but a plea to all American's to humble themselves and seek the face of God. God is more than willing and ready to bless America, the only question is, Are we bless-able?

How To Be Saved & Know It...

Lately 've made it a habit a to ask someone each day the question: "Do you know for sure that if you were to die today that you would go to heaven?" Sadly the majority of the people answer with: "I hope so" or "probably." However, there is no reason for people in this nation to be unsure about their salvation.  We do have the Bible after all.

I can not understand for the life of me how people can be less than 100% for sure about their salvation, yet remain content. If you knew that there was a 75% chance that you didn't have cancer the odds are that you would go to a doctor any way and get a more definite answer. Simply because there would still be a 25% chance that you did have cancer. The same should be true with salvation, if your less than 100% sure you need to search the scriptures and see whether or not you have eternal life.

So what does the Bible say about getting eternal life? The first thing the Bible says is that all men are sinners. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."-Rom 3.23. Everyone ever born has sinned and sin must be paid for: "For the wages of sin is death"  Rom 6.23. Fortunately, Christ paid for our sins when he died and rose again. Although "the wages of sin is death" the Bible goes on to say "but the gift of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord." We can have eternal life, but only through Jesus Christ. The problem is that people trust in their works to save them, while the Bible says specifically in Ephesians 2.8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God:" One can not be saved by his good works. Christians should do good works because they are saved, not to be saved. So after realizing your a lost sinner on your way to hell, with no hope besides the Lord Jesus, all one has to do is call upon the Lord Jesus Christ to save him and allow Christ's blood to pay for his sin. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved "With the mouth confession is made unto salvation"-Rom. 10.9-10.

Salvation is as simple as ABC:

A- Acknowledge you are a sinner:

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."-Rom 3.23

B- Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God:

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, have everlasting life." -John 3.16

C- Confess Jesus & Call Upon Him to Save You:

"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, thou shalt be saved." -Rom 10.9

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"

-Rom 10.13
