Basic Biblical Beliefs And Doctrines Are As Follows:
INTRODUCTION:
I am an Independent Baptist. Conservative and non-charismatic. I
use only the KING JAMES VERSION of the Bible and believe it to be the full, complete,
inspired, and inerrant Word of God...
I. THE DOCTRINE OF THE BIBLE
I believe in plenary, verbal inspiration of the entire Bible, from Gen. 1- Rev. 22
The Bible is to be the final word in all matters. -I Tim. 3.16-17
II. THE DOCTRINE OF GOD
I believe that the scriptures plainly explain there to be one eternal God, who exist
in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All three parts of
God are distinct, but harmoniously work together to carry out the perfect will of God.
-I John 5.7
III. THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST
I believe in the deity, virgin birth, eternal existence, and bodily resurection of Jesus
Christ. Where today he is making intercession for believers and preparing an eternal
mansion in heaven for all who have been born again. -John 1.1-3, John 14
IV. THE DOCTRINE OF MAN
I believe man to have once been created in a perfect manner, in a perfect setting.
However, upon the arrival of sin into the world, man became imperfect and destined for
eternal damnation (Rom 6.23). As a result their is no work great enough for man to do in
order to enter into heaven, man can only be saved by accepting the Savior, which is Jesus
Christ. -Rom. 5.13-18, Eph. 2.2-5
V. THE DOCTRINE OF SALVATION
I believe salvation to be of the grace of God. All men are in need of salvation, and
lost in their present state. (Rom. 3.23). Man is deserving of hell and will certainly spend
an eternity there if he does not acknowledge that he is a sinner, Believes Jesus Christ to be
the Son of God, and confesses his sins. Without doing that it is impossible for him to be
saved.
Jesus has promised eternal life upon salvation, therefore by using simple reasoning, I believe in the eternal security of the believer. After all what does eternal life mean? -I John 5.11-17, I Pet. 1.3-5, John 3.15-17
VI. THE DOCTRINE OF THE CHURCH
I believe the local church to be one of three institutions ordained of God (Family,
Civil Government, & The Church). Christ of which is the head of the church. The church is an eternal body consisting of born again believers in Christ Jesus. It is the responsibility of every Christian to be an active member in a local Bible Preaching Church. I believe the early church was made up completely independent local churches. As a result of that fact it is essential for each local church of today to be independent from all other local churches.
-Heb. 10.25, Mark 14.22-25, Acts 2.41-42, I Cor. 11.23-29
